Hackathon Rules:

  • All elements of your project (code, design, video) must be created during the week of the event; you are not allowed to use large pieces and substantial pieces of code that you’ve created before

  • Don’t plagiarize other people’s code; don’t copy large and integral pieces of external code, however, you are allowed to use smaller, more widespread code (binary sorting, email address recognition, etc.); libraries/modules/packages are of course allowed

  • You can get help from others outside of your team, however, they shouldn't directly contribute to your project (handling your video, writing some code, etc.)
  • Near midnight on Sunday, the submissions will close and you won't be able to submit your project, so make sure to get it long before submission to be safe.
  • Breaking these rules can result in disqualification and more

Team Rules:

  • Maximum teams of 4, can work individually too

  • Members can't be part of more than one team

  • Teams with coders and designers recommended

  • If you want/need team members, talking with others looking for a team or an extra person is highly encouraged!

  • Experience in a hackathon isn’t needed, however, having at least one team member with some type of coding experience is necessary, as it will be difficult to learn how to code and build a project at once
